Usos

• Se usa para hablar de una acción anterior a otra que también ocurrió en el pasado.

After he had made coffee, he sat down.       Después de que el hubo hecho café, se sentó.

The patient had died when the doctor arrived.       El paciente había muerto cuando el doctor llegó.

He was very tired because he hadn’t sleep well.       Él estaba muy cansado porque no había dormido bien.

 

Ejercicio 1

Colocar en los espacios el verbo más adecuado utilizando los siguientes participios:

Usos

• Se usa para indicar que una acción estará concluida, completa o lograda en un momento particular en el futuro.

When you get back, I will have painted the bedroom.       Cuando tu vuelvas, yo habré pintado la pieza.

By the time you get home, I will have cleaned the kitchen.       Para el momento en que llegues a casa, yo habré limpiado la cocina.
