COMPARACION DE
ADVERBIOS
Para formar el
comparativo de los adverbios se deben tomar en cuenta los siguientes casos:
1.- En general se
agrega more a la mayoría de los
adverbios.
quickly > more quickly
fluently > more fluently
slowly > more
slowly
2.- Algunos adverbios
agregan –er al final.
fast > faster
hard > harder
high > higher
3.- Algunos adverbios
tienen formas irregulares.
well > better
badly > worse
4.- Para formar la
comparación en sentido inverso (menos) se usa less para todos los adverbios.
hard > less hard
fast > less fast
fluently > less fluently
You work harder than me. Tu trabajas más duro que yo.
My brother can run faster than you.
Mi hermano puede correr más rápido que tú.
He reads more quickly than my brother. Él lee
más rápido que mi hermano.
My grandfather walks more slowly than me. Mi abuelo
camina más lento que yo.
He speaks English less fluently than me. Él habla
inglés menos fluido que yo.
My daughter dresses less informally than you. Mi hija
se viste menos informalmente que tú.
My wife cooks better than me.
Mi esposa cocina mejor que yo.
She sings better than my aunt.
Ella canta mejor que mi tía.
She dances worse than her sister.
Ella baila peor que su hermana.
My husband drives worse than me.
Mi marido conduce peor que yo.

SUPERLATIVO DE
ADVERBIOS
Para formar el
superlativo de los adverbios se deben tomar en cuenta los siguientes casos:
1.- La mayoría de los
adverbios anteponen most.
carefully > the most carefully
quickly > the most quickly
fluently > the most fluently
2.- Algunos adverbios agregan –est.
fast > the fastest
hard > the hardest
high > the highest
3.- Algunos adverbios tienen formas irregulares.
well > the best
badly > the worst
4.- Para formar el
superlativo en sentido inverso (menos) se usa least para todos los adverbios.
carefully > the least carefully
quickly > the least quickly
fluently > the least fluently
Sarah run the fastest of all of us.
Sarah es la que corre más rápido de
todos nosotros.
She came home the earliest of all.
Ella llegó a casa más temprano que todos.
She drives the most carefully of all my friends. Ella es
la que conduce más cuidadosamente de todos mis amigos.
He speaks English the most fluently of the four. Él es el
que habla inglés más fluido de los cuatro.
She dresses the least informally of all. Ella es
la que se viste menos informalmente de todos.
He speaks English the least fluently of the four. Él es el
que habla inglés menos fluido de los cuatro.
He drives the best in the world.
Él es el que conduce mejor en el mundo.
He swims the best in my school.
Él es el que nada mejor en la escuela.
He drives the worst in the world.
Él es el que conduce peor en el mundo.
She dances the worst of all of us.
Ella es la que baila peor de todos
nosotros.
