NOON: mediodía.
My niece was born at noon. Mi sobrina nació al mediodía.
At noon the boss decided to fire the assistant. Al

MIDNIGHT: medianoche.
She was sleeping at midnight.

y night. También se refiere a
momentos precisos en el tiempo o a cortos períodos.
He doesn’t work at night. Él no trabaja de noche.
She was sleeping at midnight.
Estaba durmiendo a la medianoche.
John isn’t here at the moment.
De momento John no está aquí.
The concert finished at midnight.
El concierto terminó a la medianoche.
The doctor will see him at three o’clock. El doctor
lo verá a las tres en punto.
IN: se usa con partes
del día, meses, estaciones del año, años y siglos.
She was born in 1990. Ella nació en 1990.
My aunt got married in May. Mi tía se casó en mayo.
I don’t go to school in the afternoon. No voy a
la escuela en la tarde.
ON: se refiere a un día
o fecha particular.
My sister will be here on Monday.
Mi hermana estará aquí el lunes.
I’ve got a meeting on Friday morning. Tengo una

My wife gave me a present on my birthday. Mi esposa

hermano rompió la ventana. Él la rompió.

Se usa para hablar del
tiempo y en expresiones introductorias.
It’s cold today. Hace frío hoy.

No fue fácil encontrar tu casa.
It’s obvious that you know my secret. Es obvio
que tu sabes mi secreto.
En forma plural se
utiliza they o them. En este caso también se puede estar hablando de personas.
Those apples are rotten. Don’t eat them. Esas
manzanas están podridas. No te las comas.
Sandra has lost her keys. Have you seen them? Sandra ha
perdido sus llaves. ¿Las has visto?
